Isabella and Rob married at Sylvan Ridge Farm located in Milford Pennsylvania. Surrounded by lush greenery, spring blooms and the beauty of Sylvan Ridge Farm, Bella and Rob tied the knot.

Design/Vibe/Vision: We wanted our wedding day design to be clean, simple and modern with personal touches. With the natural wood and black accents of the barn, the black & white farmhouse and cottage, all surrounded by greenery, it was easy to envision a wedding that matched that simple yet beautiful vibe. We went with a timeless black and white theme - the wedding party in black, white florals with touches of greenery, various decor in black and white. We made all of our signs by hand, used some decor pieces made by our family, thrifted and re-used vases for the tables; everything we did was chosen by the two of us, ensuring that the day was exactly what we envisioned.
Proposal Story: Move-in day for our first apartment together in Pittsburgh was May 1, 2021. Bella drove out on April 30, the night before we could officially begin moving in, and Rob bought champagne to celebrate our apartment. We woke up on May 1 and it was finally time to put our stuff in our new place. We spent all day unpacking and putting together furniture so we were exhausted, but Rob insisted on going out to dinner to give us a break. We went to Urban Tap (a bar a 5-minute walk from our apartment) and got burgers and beers. We had a nice walk through the nearby park and eventually headed back home. We were walking up our front steps when Rob stopped Bella and said "Let's take this all in." He hugged her and then looked at her and began to say wonderful things. Bella finally realized what was happening and was so surprised. Rob said "I don't want to wait another day", pulled out a small box, got down on one knee and asked, "Bella, will you marry me?" Easiest "yes!!!" ever! It was the perfect moment, intimately shared by just the two of us. We spent the rest of the night calling our family and friends, and finally broke out the champagne - which was for more than just moving in together.
Story of your wedding day: We both woke up super early on May 27, 2023 - excited, nervous, ready to get married. We had decided that we wanted to drink our morning coffee together on our wedding day, so we met on the porch of the farmhouse at 6am and spent an hour with each other before the craziness of the day. This time together made both of us feel calm and set the tone for the rest of the day. Hair & makeup arrived around 7am and Bella spent the day getting ready with the girls in the farmhouse and Rob and the guys got ready in the cottage, which took less than an hour. Bella did a first look with her bridesmaids and the moms and then another with her dad and little brother, which were both so special and sweet. Bella's grandmother lives in a nursing home about 5 minutes from Sylvan Ridge Farm, so she, her mom, sisters, aunts and cousins went to visit her while Rob, his family and the groomsmen took their photos. Guests started to arrive at 4pm for the 4:30 ceremony and it was so exciting to watch our families and friends come together, all for us. We always knew we didn't want to do a first look - we wanted to share that moment surrounded by our loved ones and it was one of the most special moments of the day. Our cousin was our officiant, she read handpicked passages, and we read our handwritten vows that tried to sum up an 11-year relationship; it was a very emotional ceremony and felt incredibly intimate. We finally exchanged rings and had our first kiss as husband and wife! We walked down the aisle hand in hand and had the perfect mid-aisle dip and kiss, a move we had been practicing in our kitchen for months prior. We took family photos and our portraits while everyone enjoyed cocktail hour and then it was time to party! We shared our first dance to a song that Rob picked out months before we were even engaged, had our sweet parent dances and heard some very heartfelt speeches. After a delicious dinner, the DJ began to play the curated wedding playlist that combined songs requested by our guests and our must-play songs. The party did not stop all night, except for when dessert was announced but we still had guests dancing with cups of ice cream in their hands! Once the last song, "All the Small Things" by Blink 182, started to play, the tears immediately flowed - for sadness that the day was coming to an end but mainly for immense happiness and love felt by the best day of our lives.
Where are the bridesmaid dresses and groomsmen attire from? The maids of honors' dresses are from Azazie and the bridesmaids' dresses are from Birdy Grey. Rob got his tux from Generation Tux and the groomsmen rented their suits from there as well.
Ceremony Music and First dance song: Processional song - Here Comes the Sun by Brooklyn Duo; Bridal processional song - Can't Help Falling in Love by Brooklyn Duo; Recessional song - Kiss Me by Sixpence None the Richer; First dance song - Let Loose by Mt. Joy
3 Special Details about your day (sentences)
Detail 1: Bella's family owns a local ice cream shop called the Milford Dairy Bar, so we knew we wanted to incorporate ice cream into the wedding somehow. When we started thinking about it, Rob came up with the name "Cass'mores" before we even had a flavor in mind. It was the perfect name - a play on our last name and we both love s'mores! We brought the idea to Bella's dad and he created the most delicious signature ice cream flavor for us. "Cass'mores" was a choice of chocolate or vanilla ice cream with s'mores pieces, graham crackers and a fudge & marshmallow swirl, homemade at the Milford Dairy Bar and served with our other desserts. It was one of our favorite personal touches of the day!
Detail 2: Sylvan Ridge Farm was the first and only wedding venue that we looked at. When we toured, we both could imagine having the best day of our lives there. What made the venue extra special was that it is in our hometown and less than 2 miles from where we met. We met in 2010, our freshman year at Delaware Valley High School. It was surreal to get married in the place that we grew up together.
Detail 3: When thinking about what we wanted our wedding favors to be, we felt strongly about doing something personal to us, but also useable. It is an annual holiday tradition in Bella’s family to hand-dip pure beeswax candles, which was all started by her grandfather. Rob has partaken in this tradition for years now, so these homemade candles are sentimental for both of us. We decided to take on the challenge of making 150 pairs of hand-dipped taper candles to gift to our guests at the wedding. Our family was a huge help in the process; helping with the preparation and the actual dipping of the candles. For the wedding, we tied a small thank you card on each pair with black ribbon, telling the guests about the candles and what they represent for us. It was very special to share this tradition with all of our loved ones!"
